What about all the equipment?

I've never done any nude walking, but love the idea of strolling unencumbered through the countryside.  But then, I start thinking - actually you'd have to carry quite a lot of stuff, wouldn't you?

Clothes, for a start, in case the weather turns, or you meet someone who might not want to see everything on show; water; map, compass and food if it's a longer walk.

If you're carrying a rucksack with all this in, doesn't it detract from the enjoyment?  Is it ever possible to have the true nudist walk where the only equipment you have is a pair of boots?

Yes of course it is, you just go for a walk carrying and wearing nothing. But why should being a nudist stop you feeling hungry or thirsty, and wanting to walk a bit further than lack of food and drink would allow? And wouldn't a nudist picnic be an enjoyable part of a nudist walk?

The thing about shedding your clothes is the lack of pockets. I need pockets. Having everything in one bag is just far to disorganised. (How do women cope with hand bags?)

However I think I may have found the answer. On a woodland walk a while back I took a lama with me. He was happy to carry everything in his panniers in return for frequent treats.

ROFL. Girls (and possibly boys?) you have to read this brilliant insight into naturist equipment.

I first saw this yesterday and it had me in giggling like a naughty schoolgirl for hours afterwards. Only now can I contain myself for long enough to comment on it.

So, at the risk of being banned (sorry in advance boys but I can’t resist)…

There was me thinking that male naturists can cope with carrying their ‘equipment’ in one bag or poke, albeit a small bag or pocket. In fact, I’m almost sure I’m not mistaken when I say that I’ve seen this very thing many times. I’m not proud of it, but I’m not ashamed of it either.

Now I learn that sometimes the aforesaid ‘equipment’ can be carried by a llama provided he gets frequent treats. One presumes that providing these treats also enables the male naturist to glance down at the llama’s toes thereby reminding himself of the benefits of not restricting his ‘equipment’ with tight clothing.

Of course, female naturists have different ‘equipment’ and can usually manage the duration of a naturist walk without having the need to fill our pockets. However, can anyone tell me where I can purchase a camel?

Actually the place where I hired the lama also had a camel but I don't know if they hired it out.

I've never done this but the idea of a naturist walk does sound good.

However, even if you weren't a naturist, you'd still take a compass, maps, water, food and possible over clothes should the weather turn inclement.

So I can't see the issue with simply taking a t-shirt and a pair of shorts over the above as you'd have the bag with you anyway
