I do a bit of nude modelling on the side as a hobby, and had a duo shoot with a female model taken by a male photographer the other day. Love it, its fun, liberating and dont think too much about being naked infront of others as it feels natural to me. However, it seemed due to society these days, this shoot was different. It seemed the photographer wasnt comfortable seeing another man naked, like he frowned upon it, or its wrong. The female model and I were discussing poses, exchanging banter, however. Why does society to a degree see it as wrong to celebrate the human body in this way. I think we are amazing mechanically, biologically and physically. So it should be celebrated through medium such as photography. What does anyone else think?

I often go into the studio and shoot nude photography, the vast majority of my work has been with female models, thats because there are far more female models than there are males. I usually work with a female photographer, we have a laugh and a joke with the models we work with, she recently had a shoot with a male who wanted to do an outdoor shoot, I went along as a spotter as it was a public location, he was a naturist but was very insistent that I was far enough away so as not to be a part of the shoot or see what was happening, I was surprised at his attitude. So I guess it comes down to the individual and what they feel comfortable with. Any photographer will tell you that if the model is not comfortable the photograph will show and spoil the finished product.
