Hello,
Me and a couple of friends (mixed gender, so hopefully no risk of being seen as a nefarious group of lone men!) were planning on visiting Druridge Bay next week as our first nude experience. I've just seen a post on here suggesting that it's not a permitted beach any more, but was wondering how busy it'd likely be/the risk of trouble if we went anyway.
From the look of Google Streetview, it doesn't look like a particularly busy place (and the weather forecast for the day doesn't look incredible), but I'm aware it's school half term in Northumberland that week...
Any insights would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
J
Hi,
Still fairly popular with naturists, most stay in dunes or behind winbreaks along the beach. The area originally designated for naturists tends to be popular with single men, however the area before and after that are quiet and suitable for sunbathing.
Enjoy 🙂
Hi
Ross beach, which is just a bit further up the coast, would probably be quieter and it's a beautiful beach.
Good luck with the weather.
Let us know how you get on, wherever you go.
Cheers

Ross is great, the best beach in the North East for sure!
There are another reasons why most people stay in the dunes at Druridge. The main beach is still used by many textiles of all ages, which makes it difficult to lie out nude on the beach itself without being harassed- also the off shore wind can be quite chilling ,whereas the dunes do at least offer some sheltered hollows in which to catch the sun. 8)
I've been to Druridge Bay loads of textiles of all ages, could not find a place were I would feel comfortable being naked on my own. If anyone was looking for company on a trip I would like to come along

The dunes at Druridge Bay are OK if you can put up with the advances of gay men who think you must be looking for sex if you're naked. They can be very persistent, either prowling around watching or else coming along and asking if you've "seen any action today". Once or twice I've felt quite threatened, but mostly they're harmless if you give them a clear brush-off. It's a pity because otherwise it's an attractive and fairly quiet spot.
I went over to Druridge Bay a few days ago - probably the last reasonably warm day for this year. Not hot, but good enough to be naked. I met hardly anyone all day, just one visitor looking around for a few minutes and probably disappointed not to see more people and another who chatted for a short time then went again. The beach was quiet enough for me to go for a long walk without having to cover up except for a brief moment when a dog-walking textile came the other way and I slipped a tiny swimsuit on, but it soon came off again. Very enjoyable, but that's likely to be it until next spring!
