Ok - I am the first one to admit i'm a bit of a prude.  I don't smoke, swear or drink alcohol - although I do like my food which in some tenuous way is why I became a naturist.

It was a beautiful sunny day Gosport, which is a seaside town in the very south of the UK.  I loved the beach, and as I child I felt like I was brought up down the beach as most childhood memories were swimming or playing on Lee on the Solent Beach.

This particular year I was feeling quite conscious of my less then perfect body (Plump would be a good word for it).

I decided that I still wanted to work on my golden tan, but would venture into  Southsea seafront and enjoy catching the rays where nobody I knew would be likely to see me.  Whilst driving down there I noticed all the parking was pay and display, and I didn't have any change on me - this was years before pay machines allowed you to use alternative methods of payment.

I carried on driving along the seafront, hoping to find some free space somewhere to allow to catch some rays.  Finally at the end of southsea seafront, and onto a place called Eastney at the very west of Portsmouth I found a little gravel car park which had 1 space free.  I couldn't see the sea, but I deduced that it must be close as I followed the road close the the coast.

I got out of my car, and headed south down a little path.  To my right was a camp site, and to my left was some sort of MOD base.  I turned right at the end of the path and to my surprise it was full of nude people.  I though to myself that I was miles from home, and there would be nobody else I would know there, so I put my blanket down and stripped off.

I loved it, and the feeling was wonderful.  The best feeling of all was being able to go for a swim, and dry off on the beach without damp swimwear sticking to you.

Everyone there kept themselves to themselves, and there were people there of all shapes, sizes and ages.  After a few weeks the regulars even started saying hello to me as I turned up with my blanked, water, book and music player.  It felt so good to be accepted, and I know the dangers of skin cancer and such, but I'd rather live a short happy life then a long sad one.

Peace

Tried to find the naturist beach many times but have not found it yet, can't seem to get clear dirictions to it,is 1/2 way up the road or near the end or the begining of the road. There are a few car parks and entrances on that road.I think maybe have to take a slow wander up the beach starting at the old swimming baths!

You might find this page from the BN web site useful - you can zoom in on the map to a quite detailed level.

Hi There,

If you go turn into Fort Cumberland Road in Southsea, you will see a Spar to the right.  Carry on up the road until on the right, parallel to the road, you will see a gravel car park.

Park in here, and if you walk south you will see a path that leads between the campsite/mod base that leads to the beach.

Peace

2 comments i need to make. It is actually Fort Cumberland road by the Spar that one turns into.

Also Peacecore said he turned right at the end of the path, that concerns me as the naked people are always found by turning "left" at the end of the said footpath.

Excuse me being nit-picking!

Apologies, it is left at the end of the footpath.

No need for concern - it's not illegal to be nude unless you are deliberately trying to offend people.
