I've only ever done North Fuerte, but Jan to March has usually been OK for 24/7 nudity although I have had the odd couple of bad days on a couple of visits (out of about 10) and M always needs to wrap up in the evening.

No, it won't be in the luggage - you will wear it for the plane journey out and remember to wear it for the journey back as you will need it when you emerge from the UK airport terminal.
I remember standing behind a family who had worn their warm coats on the outward journey but had packed them in their luggage for the return journey. They were most put out when their luggage was now over-weight and they has to pay excess baggage charges.

Hi following on from what John said, we have recently come back from Costa Calma out of 14 days we had about 4 poor days storms and heavy rain twice but even on those days we got to the beach in the afternoongreat! i think in general the weather everywhere is going crazy but usually Fuerte plods along through the winter in the 20s Have A GREAT TIME!!

Shorts need some consideration, too. Could change into them at Gatwick outward!

SB: 20sC sounds good but weather sites say 16-18 average for Feb. Probably depends on which island and which coast but with the sun shining it's got to be very 'pleasant'!

We've stayed at Sol Jandia Mar self catering apartments in Morro Jable three times and find that they are great. Heading back there mid November.

There is plenty on Fueventura, About walks and different hotels North & south of Island. Just look in main forum under, beaches non Uk, Where will you be.places and events.

Yes, I've researched many sites and still like the look of Costa Calma and those fabulous beaches further South, like Risco. Beach walking should be bearable in the low 20s winter temperature, though I suppose it will be windy. Does the wind generally blow from any particular direction on that SE-facing coast in their winter?

I have been quite a few times to Jandia Princess and always walk from just south of Costa Calma back to the hotel. It is a superb walk as long as tide is going out and the wind is always fairly warm and I have been in February and November. Even if the sun isn't out it is still great to walk naked along the beach.

I believe you can also walk from Costa Calma over to other side of island Naked soon after off the main highway.
Have walked 90% naked from Baralo hotels in Jandia to Pico de la Zarza.

I could heartily recommend Morro Jable , further south than costa calma . It is possible to walk all the way on the beach between these resorts . We stayed at the palm garden apartments , which truth be told are a bit dated and tired . But they are clean , comfortable , have enough kitchen facilities to make a simple meal , have wonderful views of the beach , 300 yards to beach , 20 yards to nearest supermarket , pleasant or 10 min stroll to old town with lots of restaurants , and importantly , cheap! . One thing to say is that the resort is pretty much exclusively german , so learning a bit of german as well as spanish would be a good idea . The weather in november was ok , not brilliant but good enough to enjoy some beach walking sunbathing and swimming . We had one very sunny day and the temperature shot up to 39c in the afternoon!
