I've never managed to catch a decent mullet there despite many hours of trying.
Only baby mullet and eels.

No, not a thing. I reckon that the water is too cold. ;D

We did not get there until the 28th. Are there fish in the lagoons? Deffo wasn't me snorkeling. The only swimmer when we were there was a dog.

We went a few years ago now and stayed in one of the cottages.  The place was what I would call "rustic" and very interesting. There is a camping area. Swimming in the lagoons and walks around the grounds.

Have not thought about going again but if we did we would probably stay in one of the cabins rather than the cottages.

Spent a total of 3 weeks there april and may, it's very relaxing and quiet. We hope to go back there in september for 2-3 weeks as its only about 80 miles for us.
I think we had about 6 weeks there last year.

Yes sometime back and can thoroughly recommend it. Access isn't easy especially if you're towing a caravan. Ivan

Tything Barn, yes, a lovely place but now under new management as easy-going and wonderful June and Joe are now retiring. Since we are local we were regular visitors and paid the annual subs rate. Now however, it has become an investment and whilst still a wonderful place for peace and tranquility, day visitors are discouraged with rising costs and strict enforcement of rules and regulations and even segregation from holidaymakers. All good things will eventually come to an end!

From what we've seen and heard the new managers are doing a great job. Sounds like sour grapes on your part to me!

My friend and I visited back in August for a few days, and were made to feel very welcome indeed by the new managers. There were lots of people there, all very friendly from what we experienced, and there were a few day visitors each day too.

I can't see costs being an issue because they charge very little for camping pitches, so they could just raise those prices a little if needs be (and it'd still be cheap!)

I hope to make it back next summer 🙂

I met Bryn the young well behaved springer. But my two springers soon showed him how to misbehave.
Tything Barn is still the same fantastic relaxed site it has always been. The idea of any segregation is complete nonsense. It is a very well run site and very welcoming.
