We had a lovely time at the Hotel zum Walde making good use of the facilities.  It was very quiet, with only a few staying mid-week, but there was a good mix of people. We were offered an upgrade to the revamped rooms, but found that the room we booked was excellent. The main sauna was very hot, but the infrared sauna was a pleasant surprise compared with the sitting in front of a 3 bar electric fire we experienced in Amsterdam.  The pool was lovely and it was great to take advantage of eating "au-natural" each night by the pool. The food was good and portions plentiful.  The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, attentive but not intrusive and we would certainly visit again and thoroughly recommend it.

We have booked a two night stay at the Hotel zum Walde for early in December.  We will report back on how good it is.

The Hotel zum Walde ( http://www.hotel-zum-walde.de/ ) near Aachen has a nude pool and bar area, a smallish sauna area and secluded nude sunbathing in summer. When we were there the rooms were in need of refurbishment, but I think may have been done since.

If you are going to Amsterdam, try the Sauna Deco.  We did in October and really liked it.
