I would be in the No - This isnt for me i'd be uncomfrtable with the idea group.

Though I accept that I will be seen without clothes when in naturist environments, I see no acceptable reason (to me) for others to see pictures of me without clothes.

I have just had my wife ask me to take a nude  photo of her. Now she  is not a natrurist and is a  very modest person.  The reason she gave was! She is going to be 50 soon. I dont know why this makes a difference but she has decided that she has to do something she would not normally do because of her impending birthday.

I have had my pictures taken many times in a naturist setting. I have to say however, as a very keen photographer, I much prefer to be on the other side of the lens. To anyone wishing to pose for photographs, I would urge care in selecting uncluttered backgrounds. Messy backgrounds that take away much from what could be really good images. Choose lighting that is defused rather than direct flash or sunlight as these do little to enhance the human form. As someone else has already stated, pictures are taken to be seen, not hidden away.

I've not had nude photos of myself taken before, but I think if it was in a naturist setting as part of a group photo, an 'action' shot or something like that, I'd be fine with it.

If I was photographed by someone on a beach or whatever, I wouldn't be bothered, but I wouldn't specifically make an effort to be photographed. Not least as I hardly think I'm that interesting in the nude, lol. If I was a hot 20-something year old woman or had the physique of a Men's Health cover model, maybe I'd be a lot more confident to pose.

That said, as an artist myself, I'd love to pose nude for something artistic, if the opportunity arose. It's always been a major regret of mine that I never participated in the Spencer Tunick project in Newcastle/Gateshead in 2005, and knowing my luck, he'll probably never return to my part of the world, so it looks like my big chance has gone.

The strangest pics I ever posed for were for an art student back in the 80s.

All very odd. I stood there in all sorts of strange poses while stripes of coloured light were projected on to my body. It was for a fine art project and I didn't really "understand" it but it was fun to do and I got some beer for my time 😉

I think it the right context I would be happy to pose for photographs but something I would really love to do is pose for a life drawing class.  I always imagine that they prefer female models or people with perfect bodies but I might be wrong.

I must look into it as it's definitely on my bucket list !    😉

I see Samsung do cameras that can be operated remotely with a Samsung phone. Looks like you may need £500 to get sorted!

For something else to do why doesn't she visit the swim in Newcastle as she has not done that before - just a thought  😉

I agree with you, in the right context. Yesterday, though, I went for a walk up a hill near my house (Dolebury Warren) and as it wasn't a glorious day and, with it being a bit windy, it was dead up there!
I therefore took the opportunity to take a lovely, solitary clothes-free walk and I actually took a few photos of myself au naturel during the walk with the beautiful surrounding countryside as a backdrop.

Like you, though, I've always wanted to pose for a life drawing class! I'm really into art (can't draw, myself) and I enjoy seeing different artists' takes on the human form.

I recently had the honour of being asked to take some "baby bump" pictures by a young couple we have known for a few years. I hired a small studio, and as the mother to be is a naturist the session was so easy and informal. Over two hundred pictures taken in about ninety minutes and after editing we were all very happy with the pruned down results. Nearly all the pictures were taken of the mother to be in the nude, and a few with just the addition of a colourful piece of cloth. The initial shots testing the light were taken with my lovely model wearing an oversize white shirt. The father to be took off his shirt too for a few portrait type shots.

Even more recently we returned to take pictures of the proud new parents and happy baby.
