Does anyone have a list of countries/places/beaches to visit or perhaps more important to avoid?

We are looking for a holiday place around Easter, I don't want to end up somewhere I have to stay dressed on the beach !!!!

My other half has suggested Cyprus for example.

Appreciate a few pointers.

if you wish to be naked on the beach, avoid Cyprus like the plague!  There are a couple of naturist tolerant beaches but they are a bit hit and miss.  I can't think of anywhere to go at Easter as the weather could still be iffy but the Canary Islands are always a safe bet and naturist friendly.

Further to Peter's response, Fuerteventura is usually reckoned to be the most naturist friendly of the Canary islands.
For a package deal - ideal for first timers - try Chalfont Holidays http://www.chalfontholidays.co.uk/ or the Fuerteventura Princess from most high street travel agents.

Thanks for the feedback, we did Fuerteventura last year, excellent, might look to one of the other islands then.
Thanks for the link, not tried them, we went with Thompson before.

Lanzarote is great IMHO.
We stayed at Charco del Palo Naturist village in the north of the island. Great place for nude hiking but best beaches are in the south of the island. There are still sea bathing opportunities in the north though.

We went to Magic Life at Jandia, Fuerteventura last year and thought it was excellent. All inclusive with a naturist spa with pool, steam room, and sauna.
Very good value.

Been to Lanzarote and thought Famara was best for naturism.

I think Malta would be an ideal destination if it were not for it being totally anti-naturist!

The Maspalomas area of Gran Canaria would fit the bill.

In April, you will have to go to the Canaries if you are staying in Europe, everywhere else in the Med is just a bit chilly, well, would be for me anyway.

As said, Cyprus is a non starter.

Actually I've got to slightly disagree with Brigitte ..... The Med islands, yes, still a bit chilly. But we've been at Costa Natura on the Costa del Sol in mid March and it was cracking the flags. Mid April should be lovely there. Although getting anywhere around Easter is going to cost an arm and a leg.

I agree with Cherry and John. We were on the Costa del Sol at New Year and it was great weather even then as the attached pic (for media centre members) shows.

El Portus in south east Spain is pretty warm at this time of the year. You can keep an eye on the daily temperatures by looking at their webcam:-
http://www.elportus.com/en/window-to-el-portus-live.
Chalfont Holidays can arrange all your bookings.  The site has its own adjoining beach. The site is clothes optional except at the swimming pools which are strictly fully naturist. The site offers various types of accommodation and a restaurant and little shop.

I've been to the Costa del Sol around Easter. I remember the diurnal temperature variation being huge at the time, from about 22°C mid-afternoon down to single figures at night, and the locals said this was fairly typical. Also, on the coast it tended to me warmer than on the higher ground. Driving up the A-45 from Málaga to Córdoba to weather changed from sweltering to brass monkeys and back again.

I hiked for about 3 miles (and back again) north, south, and inland from Charco. I also walked about the same distance on the north coast, the NW cliff tops and did a 10 mile bike ride as well. These were mostly on dirt roads in unpopulated areas of which there are many. I did quick 2 hour or so breaks so didn't but could have gone further. There is a great book called Walk! Lanzarote and most of the 30 or so walks look ideal. I know friends (2 different couples) who have done several of them nude over many years. They have also walked the south of the island. The island off the north tip is described as a nude hiking paradise. I would also add that the woman in one of the couples, though a long time Naturist, is very anti pushing the boundaries outside designated/established places. But she tried it and thought it was wonderful!  🙂
Regarding Famara: The wind was in the wrong direction when I went for there but there are great walks in the book beyond the north end of the beach. If you combined the two you could do about 10km in each direction!

Formentera is very good in April. The beaches are all overwhelmingly Naturist used at that time of year.
