Having seen the dunes and houses being damaged @ Hemsby on the News, I am wondering ifs anyone in the winterton locality is able to confirm if the Dunes Naturist area north by the Boulder groins is still intact?
We only really found winterton this year after Holkam became out of Bounds and on both beaches you often need the dunes to shelter from the wind
I live in Winterton, and I am intending to take a walk up to the 'naturist section' in the next day or so to see if the beach has suffered any serious damage.
The seals at Horsey suffered badly, about 250 pups swept away.

That is so sad about the pups. I saw on the news about rescued orphan seals, but they are the lucky ones.

hi, yes i've used Wintreton or as we call it 'horsey gap' for about 40 years and it changes all the time, when one spot gets spoilt by a rough high tide another grows into the ideal sun trap again so theres always somewere to settle down. Though the recent damage has been drastic nature has it's own way of bouncing back.I expect I'll be back among the regulers this summer, 😉

well, i hope to join you this year, i used to stay on holidays at happisburgh when a yound kid, so that section of coast has memories, though we used to go by puff puff train to Mudesey then take a Eastern Counties bus..long long ago
