During the winter we spent a week at The Natural in Curacao. Curacao is an island in the Dutch Antilles in the southern Caribbean, off the coast of Venezuela. The island attracts large numbers of Dutch tourists in particular and so there are several direct flights daily from Amsterdam to Curacao.

The Natural is a small, clothing-optional resort situated in the centre of the island. It is run by a Dutch couple and the great majority of guests when we were there were also Dutch. The accomodation consists of well-equipped bungalows, studios and apartments. In the centre of the complex there is a large communal swimming-pool area with fantastic views down towards the southern coast of the island. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. It was easy to get into conversation with the other guests, despite the fact that virtually none of them had English as their native language.

The downside of The Natural is the fact that it is in such an isolated location; you really do have to rent a car to see anything of the island and to do your shopping.

There are no official naturist beaches on Curacao but unofficial naturism is practised by many visitors to the remote beaches of San Juan, except on Sundays, when the islanders themselves tend to use the beaches.

Interesting review - thanks Arnran!

I knew about The Natural, but hadn't seen any reviews from people who had stayed there before. Sounds like a good place - glad you enjoyed it.
