Hi,

I'm looking togo on holiday with friends who want to try naurism but are a little apprehensive.  I suggested we go somewhere with clothing optional beaches abroad.  Does anyone have any recommendations or favourite places that will fit the bill?

Joe

In the UK, why not try Studland Beach in Dorset?  It is sandwiched in between 2 'normal' beaches but your friends should be able to either strip or stay clothed.

Do what you say you are going to do.

Would suggest Vera playa in Spain
Been a while since I have been but think it's definitely worth a look.
Chances are it will be better weather than UK

Studland Beach in Dorset is near you in Bournemouth, but if your friends are apprehensive about going there because of the relatively high risk of being seen by someone they know or simply want to visit a new place (e.g. for new vistas, better chance of good weather, etc.) or simply find the unfortunate name of the place off-putting, many clothing optional beaches have been recommended by people on this forum.

Like many British Naturists, many people on this forum like to visit beaches in France, Spain (especially Canary islands), the Greek islands or Croatia, and there are many potential choices in these places. It depends on what sort of thing you like.

My recommendation of the moment for somewhere 'different from the norm' would be in the thread here: http://www.naturist-corner.net/community/index.php?topic=13390.0 . Most Swedes are nonplussed by the sight of naked people on the beach, so this might make things easier for ‘friends who are apprehensive’.

It is difficult to answer this question without knowing what sort of holiday oyu want - self catering, all inclusive, quiet village, bustling resort, vibrant night-life, etc.
With this information we could answer your question much more effectively, otherwise you will get a raft of irrelevant suggestions.

I use a beach called Los Tusales, La Marina on the Costa Blanca... about half an hour drive south of Alicante airport. It's clothing optional so you and your friends can decide to strip off or not. I've taken friends that have been on holiday there and they've all given naturism a go albeit usually on their last day and have all wished that they'd done it from day one.

There are quite a few attractions not too far away, Benidorm is about an hour's drive to the North. Give me a yell if you want to know more.
