i paid my first visit to Tything barn last week was a bit apprehensive driving in but thought go for it so in i went parked the car and went to reception and met Jo who took my details and explained the rules and where to go and have a look around so i went back to the car stripped off and what a feeling to walk around the stunning lagoons and fields i`m hooked on the place cant wait to go back down
Well done. Having taken the first step it's easier from now on. Enjoy your new found freedom. 🙂

once you have done it first, it gets easier
I've never been to Tything Barn but it dies sound lovely. What does surprise me it that "loftman" joined the forum on 2000 yet it was only last week that he tried a naturist place. I know all about apprehension and remember my first beach venture, before joining any forum. We all find the first time daunting and nearly all of us find that once you bite the bullet it is truly liberating; hence we get hooked.
So if any of you are nervous and want to try naturism just go for it in the right place and you will almost certainly find that it is a fantastic experience. My biggest regret has been not having the courage sooner than I did. Now I'm not as enthusiastic as I used to be but I'm not worried at all about being seen naked by anyone (naked or clothed) as long as it is legal and I'm not causing offence.
No problem with Loftman's testimony - but the title of subject strikes me as a little strange: "My first time in front of others". Over my years as a naturist, I have never felt that I was "in front of others" (does that mean "on display to others"?), but on the contrary that I was "with others".
But perhaps this just strikes me as odd because I am not a native speaker of English.
Think the first time was more years ago than I care to remember, we were on a quiet Cornish beach, yes they use to be quiet, Our youngest son was probably only about 3 years old and kept toddling off around the nearby rocks, no problem as he was back within a couple of minutes.
Eventually he was followed back by a man about 30 years old wearing shorts.
He approached us and told us that he hoped that we were not concerned that our child kept peeping around the rocks where two couples were sunbathing without clothes, not a problem and what a responsible approach.
Well what was good enough for them and obviousley not a problem if done discretely was good enough for us, so why not.
That must have been nearly 50 years ago, since then Dyffryn, Perranporth, our club Montelivet and lots of quiet beaches in France and Portugal.
