Has anyone any further information on this beach. For me it would have to be during the week, need to know type of people visiting, is this family orientated or just males.
We went a few years ago, albeit when it was a bit chilly. Very remote and you're unlikely to see anyone else there to be honest.
Had a wonderful day there a couple of years ago and visited over the years. Quite a hike so need to be fairly fit but the peace and quiet are worth it on a rare hot day. We have also used the beach at Roanhead in the same vicinity. Much better views of the Lakeland hills and fells. Don't forget the open tranquillity offered at Lakeland Outdoor Club near Haverigg.
We are looking at trying Roanhead ourselves it is quite a trek from the car park i belive but from what i hear it is quiet and ideal for us naturists
The dunes do seem to go on for miles and can't be beaten for tranquillity, peace and quite etc. Enjoyment guaranteed if warm and sunny.
Just love this place is there any one thinking of going this week would be good if i was not the only one there.
