maybe the beech needs a naked invasion !!
We have never been but it is not so far from us and seems a shame there is so much messing around with tide heights etc is it possible to somehow mark the area that is naturist - then put up some signs etc

I understand, from the latest meeting between BN and the various beach owners, that there will be new signs on the beach showing the designated area and that they will cover pretty much the same area that they did before.

Just thought  i would leave this.we have been a couple of times in the past couple of weeks and have to say there were not many people there at all.probably six or seven people sunday.The dune dwellers have gone.
They have put new signs up where you can go.
Have to say it was nice with hardly anyone there

Am going to try an organise a day there when we are off work so if anyone interested get in touch

I would be interested in a meet up, although it is quite a trek from Hertfordshire.

Waiting for the much warmer weather. It will then get busier. Hopefully the prowling dune dwellers will stay clear. Are the nudist signs up much the same place they were before?

The signs are much further away from the dunes and it's a much smaller area between the two signs. It was a lovely day both times that we went around 20 degrees c so had expected more, Hunstanton was very busy both days, we called in there for chips on the way home.

The wife and I enjoyed a lovely day at Holkham on Thursday. First time we have been able to visit this summer.
The first thing I have to say is how shocked I was to see that at least 15 yards of the dunes have been washed away in the tidal surge of December 2013. When I think back to 1989 when I first visited Holkham the dunes backing the beach now are hugely reduced from that time.
The naturist section of the beach is clearly signposted and is well away from the dunes. There were a number of couples and males enjoying the summer sun and we are pleased to report that while we were there we did not observe any nude males or anyone else for that matter lurking in the dunes or anyone abusing the rules by trying to sunbath nude in the dunes.
We look forward to visiting again very soon.

We have just spent our 2nd weekend of the month at Holkham & how great it was to be back there. 2 weeks ago we were the only people there, this Saturday 30 people at its busiest & a few less on Sunday. Still 1 or 2 heads popping up in the dunes I'm afraid  & interestingly a lot less beach walkers than before last years ban, although many of whom joined in the spirit, undressing, having a dip, dressing & continuing their journey. My girlfriend & I still laugh about her standing naked arguing with a policeman on the beach last year, really wish I'd have taken a pic. Many thanks to all the campaigners 'who got our beach back'.

Might be visiting Holkham beach tomorrow or Sunday... could anyone please tell me what is the nearest place to park?  It looks like the road leading up to the beach, but I've been unable to find a map showing the location of the naturist section.  (Normally wouldn't be worried but with a littl'un in tow that just wants to get on and play in the sand I want to make sure I'm not going to park miles away).  Thanks in advance 🙂

Go along the A149 until you get to Holkham. Opposite the entrance to Holkham Hall is the long drive that leads to Holkham Gap/beach. You will see cars parked either side of this road way. It costs £6.50 to park all day.
You can get to the naturist section of the beach by either walking directly onto the beach and turning left and walk for a good 20 minutes or take the footpath at the end of the drive where you park and go left behind the pine woods. You will see signs for the beach and a wooden walkway after about 20 mins. If I had a little one with me I'd probably opt for the beach route.
The naturist section is not easy to get to, but very nice when you get there.
It will be clearly signposted about 30 yards in front of what's left of the dunes.

Thanks happynudist.  Unfortunately we didn't make it... it took around 50 mins just to get to the sea from the car with littlun wanting to examine ever shell we walked past, but it was quite late in the day also by the time we got there, so sadly didn't make it as far as the naturist section.  Oh well.. will just have to try again 🙂

if you have room take push bike and park in the hall grounds behind the Victoria hotel (was free 2y ago) then. cycle down to the forest track as above

As NIB pointed out in an earlier post  BN will be holding an annual Beach Day there 10th August (Sunday)

Anyone know what the local weather forecast is? 

Due to the weather forecast tomorrow BN's Beachday, open to everyone, has been cancelled, or rather postponed.  🙁
