I know i shouldn't have done. But i first went nude on a public beach on a beach north of Skegness...it was bracing (lol) but it was great. I loved it...with the air and sun over my body for the first time naked....wicked.
Sounds good to me - not sure why you shouldn't have done it? As we know, it's supposed not to be illegal. It's probably wise to be somewhat circumspect, but we've stripped off lots of times on quiet ordinary beaches (ie non-designated naturist ones), in the UK and abroad. Never had any bother ... yet!

There are some unofficial nudist beaches a little further north of Skeg, Theddlethorpe and Northcoates.
Yes, I have been nude on Theddlethorpe beach several times, it's a lovely beach. My first time nude on a public beach was at Holkham Bay, it's a bit of a hike from the carpark, but it's a fantastic beach. I'm hoping to have a few more trips out this summer, so bring on the sunshine!

I think there is something special about being naked on a non-naturist beach... but maybe that is just a bit of the rebel in me!
As has been said on here by others, being naked ins't illegal so in theory you could go naked anywhere.
It's the 'alarm/distress' issue that's the problem.
If a few hardy souls pushed the boundaries a bit then public nudity could become more acceptable.

Whilst I agree that respect is an essential requirement in life, it only works if it is mutual. I have no problem with making a reasonable accommodation for people who dislike others nudity and I would not set up camp on a beach right next to a clothed group then strip off. However, if I choose to go naked on a generally clothed beach at a reasonable distance from anyone else, I see no good reason why they should not be expected to show some respect for my choice.
I firmly believe that one reason for the issues that non-nudists have with nudity is that they rarely see it and so are completely unprepared for it. A large part of this is because the majority of naturists do not show respect to others but simply surrender their own choices to the assumed dominant view of the clothed majority. That is not respect, it is oppression.
Worse; that surrender of our wishes is predicated on the naturist assumption that others are not capable of thinking for themselves and showing the respect for our choices that we would like them to. That is both insulting and arrogant and, of course, becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.
