Thanks. As I work in the week, I'll have to see nearer the dates if I can spare the time (and if my nerve holds out!)

Ah work... Yes, I am well aware of how that can get in the way as I suffer the same problem. All I will say is that having a job is far better than the alternative.

The walk at Hoo is on Saturday 12 July. It is a bit of a trot from Buckinghamshire but is a walk unlike any other I've done. The Peninsular is largely flat and at or below sea level in places and, even on a Saturday it is possible we may meet no one at all.

As for nerves; trust me on this, they will disappear just a minute or two into your first walk.

Have fun,

Ian.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your encouraging words. I've only been naked in public on a naturist beach or campsite and at naturist swim club nights at Watford & Reading. I love walking and therefore like the idea of joining a naturist walk, but I still have reservations about walking around naked in a, for all intents and purposes, "non naturist" environment and without the resultant protections that naturist areas provide.
I think I will have to test my nerve come the warmer weather.

Marvin,

On the SOC walks you will be with possibly 20 or 30 others and the Hoo walk is in a very remote area so the chances of meeting anyone are quite small. (I'm going to try and get to that one myself.) So you will be  in good company and after 5 mins you will be converted to naked walking!

Cheers Gerry, thanks for your comments.  I can see that I'm going to have to give naked walking a try.

I enjoy the walks as well. I have been doing them for several years now and I lead local ones sometimes. The next one this year is on Friday. I look forward to seeing you again soon on one of the walks.

I can't make this weeks walk but have booked the day off to go on the "Deans Bottom" walk near Goring on Wednesday 18 June. Hopefully the sun will shine and summer will make an appearance for the day.

Have fun,

Ian.

Looking forward to meeting you (properly this time) for the Dean's Bottom walk Ian.  Let's hope the weather warms up and dries up a bit or there might not be too much of an opportunity for a lot of naked walking!

I'm fascinated by what you mean by meeting "properly."
It so happens that the only time Ian and I have met (sos far) he was dressed and I was naked (and I met Taz first).

Hi John,
I was out walking with a non naturist friend (sorry, I hate that textile tag) a while back and Ian & Taz walked past me in the other direction. I thought I recognised him from the photos he has posted on here, but couldn't be sure and so didn't say anything at the time.  When I got back I checked the pictures again to confirm and so sent Ian a message and we struck up a conversation as he lives local to me.
I've wanted to join a naturist walk for a while but hadn't plucked up the courage. Ian has been very encouraging and so we are going to meet "properly" at the SOC walk at Deans Bottom.
Hope my rambling reply explains.
Pete

Most people get to meet Taz first; he is far more friendly than I am 😀

The forecast for tomorrow looks OK at 18 to 20C with broken sunshine so I'm really looking forward to my first SOC walk this year. Marvindodgers and I will be on the SOC walk at Deans Bottom tomorrow (Near Goring, south Oxfordshire). Is anyone else from the forum intending to be there?

Have fun,

Ian.

Well I attended my first SOC walk today and had a very enjoyable time spent walking around the Berkshire/Oxfordshire countryside.  The weather couldn't have been better and we must have spent well over 95% of the walk naked as we encountered barely enough people to count on the fingers of one hand all day.
Everyone was very friendly and I was made to feel very welcome. I'm not sure if I'll get any further walks this year due to an annoyance called work, but I'd certainly go again if I can.
Special thanks must go to Ian (Milfmog) for encouragement and of course driving today. Cheers.
