Hi All,

Newbie member and post here, so forgive my ignorance.....

has anyone got any experience of naked camping, caravanning, campervanning in the Lakes.

I have been looking at Lakeland Outdoor Club, but it looks a little remote!! maybe thats a good thing and also it is the only naturist camping facility that I can find which is right on a beach.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
E

Hi,

I think I must have done something wrong for the post to be moved.

Please let me know.

Muchas Gracias

[gmod]Nothing really done wrong. You posted it in the General Board when as you can see there is a specialist board for UK Naturist Campsites/Clubs. The subject matter fitted better in this category rather than on the General Board. It is an easy mistake to make and one a number of new people make when beginning a new thread :) :)[/gmod]

Lakeland Outdoor Club is remote but that is it's beauty. As long as the weather is good you can't beat it. Great sea/fell and sunset//night sky views.
Beach and sea can be used nude with discretion if you stay there. It is the only naturist camping directly on the sea (or a lake) in the UK.
Some of the camping barns in the Lakes can be used nude with discretion if your party are the only ones in residence.

Thanks....

I have contacted Lakeland and are just waiting for a response to see how I book up for a night or two.

I will be waiting for some warmer weather though as a chilly Irish Sea breeze is not my cuppa 🙂

Does it get busy??  I prefer quieter camping environments.

Wind is the biggest problem. Note it's surrounded by wind turbines.

It is a quiet site. we were members about 8-10 yrs ago and there were usually about 6 units at weekends. The August BH is their AGM and that attracts about 20 units.
There are always some small areas that you can camp on your own if you wish.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained......

I will give it a go one weekend when the weather looks best.

I quite fancy a bit of discreet beach sunbathing.
