Well we've done it, and I'm pleased to announce it was brilliant. ;D Been to Normandy for the D-Day celebrations ( a fortnight of high emotions) and came across the naturist area at Merville. Both a bit sceptical at first but after finding a secluded spot I got nude and the wife topless as she still felt a little self conscious. Seemed to me that the regulars were in "oooh new faces" mode which made her feel a little as if we were being watched. In the end we walked out to the beach where there was more open space and she too got naked. It was amazing we both felt so relaxed and, surprisingly, not the least bit nervous. there were lots of people going past and saying a friendly bonjour and we felt completely at ease. After a few hours lounging, swimming in the sea and walking (she was quite happy for me to go off on a walk while she stayed relaxing on her own) we reluctantly got dressed and headed back to our accomodation.
In fact she couldn't wait to tell all our friends and her aunt and uncle with who we were staying where we had been. Similarly when we got home last night we called at the local and she was quite open about it to everyone we know in there.
She slept naked for the first time in years and we didn't dress until dinnertime today as we had things to do. We have been discussing when we will do it again for most of the time we have been home. In fact I was surprised at how she took to it, as although interested she was nervous about trying it. I think I may have created a monster 🙂
To sum up, it was probably one of the best things either of us have done in our lives and I think we will be trying very hard from now on to expand our experiences.

Well done both of you, while???? the nice weather lasts you can try one of the UK beaches or perhaps a weekend camping at one of the clubs that are within a reasonable distance, several to choose from with websites on the internet.

Thanks for the replies everyone, being part of the forum definitely helped us to give it a go, reading about others experiences seem to put it into perspective. The wife is still talking about it and weather permitting we shall soon have another go somewhere.

Just yesterday at Taddiford as I was swimming a lady left the water wearing bikini bottoms. I was thinking just how wrong they look on a naturist beach. I think the couple may be newish to naturism, both quite pale and have been enjoying the beach for a week or so.
How nice it was when as I was chatting to a pal, I noticed she was walking down to the water naked. Her partner quietly applauded her as she swam out to him. Quite a lovely moment. I just so admire any lady who can throw of the shackles that seem designed to restrict their freedom and enjoyment.
