For anyone planning to go to Studland tomorrow, Thursday, the ferry is out of action today and they cannot see it being back in action until Thursday afternoon at the earliest. I had been planning to go via the ferry tomorrow so will have to continue enjoying swimming at Milford for now.
The ferry company have set up a Facebook page to keep everyone up to date with the repair to the broken chain.

Good job I just saw this, I was just about to get buy my rail ticket! Kenfig it is then.
Edit: just checked tide times, tide will be on the way out the time I am there, so not so good for a swim. Great. 🙁

Sandbanks ferry is very much back in action. Spent a lovely day at Studland Bay today. Weather was just about perfect, sea temperature was lovely, lots of people enjoying this great beach and thankfully, very little evidence of the infamous "meerkats."
