Further to my earlier post , I walked mynydd mawr ( elephant mountain ) yesterday evening . Starting from just outside the village the village of Y Fron . Started out at 6pm , back down by 8:30 . Did not see another soul for the whole walk . It is a bit of a slog , well , for someone as unfit as me . But well worth the effort . Fantastic views and utter solitude . I wasn't  brave enough to do the whole walk as nature intended , but did strip off about half way up and stayed that way untill I was within a half mile of the car on the way back . It really is a wonderful experience to be at one with nature , the sun on your back and a cool breeze blowing .

A planned life can only be endured .

I have a few hill walks that I do naked. I go to the end of one of several lanes near Machen mountain, and if in the morning I don't take any clothes at all, one is on mainly grassy paths so I am also barefoot. I used o worry about meeing anyone, but have only rarely met anyone else; this year I stopped worrying: I kept a respectful distance from a lady with several dogs, and had a cheerful hello from a male jogger.

The other day I found an excellent spot to park up for a six mile naked hike.  Take the A5 west towards Betws-y-Coed and at Pentrefoelas turn right onto the B5113 towards Llanrwst.  Just over a mile out of the village there is a road to the right signposted as no through road.  Drive less than a mile to the second fork in the road and park up.  The right hand fork (tarmacked) leads to a farm, the left hand rough path is part of a very long national path.  After the first 400 yards it's fairly gentle, there's wide scenery and Snowdonia in clear view on the way back.  Go three miles to a lake and then back the same way.  I did car back to car completed naked except for walking socks and boots and saw no-one.  Although I carried a bumbag with a drink and waterproofs just in case of bad weather.

I tried another new walk recently start at SO 041 163 the road bridge on the minor road to neuadd reservoir (there is a car park nearby) then walk /wade upstream almost all the way to the neuadd dam, lots of lovely little skinny dipping pools you can walk back on the footpath to the west of the river.

Hi, although not directly relating to walks in Wales I have (clothed) climbed/walked up Snowdon and no not via the train. Which is amazing by the way. Superb walk and the surrounding area is truely beautiful. We stayed not far from Snowdon in a place called (and forgive the spelling) Radoh? Amazing in its self.
Enjoyed the walk and the views form the cannon which many miss.
My best and only naked hike was in Spain last year. Sadly even though i had a map purchased form 'Smifs' in Nerja it was not detailed enough for me to plan a good route to find the Rio Chiller gorge from Frigiliana. A fantastic hike though across some very hilly terrain in extreme temps 38+ degrees! Once out of site of everyone i could remove my clothing and enjoy the walk naked. I could easily see across the hills of any approaching people but to be honest i don't think anyone would have been daft enough to follow up the hills in the extreme temp anyway!
Fantastic walk 8-10 miles which did on this occasion beat me because of the heat and i was not carrying enough water, but this year......maybe not.!
Sorry to but in on a Welsh walk but being new I am still finding my feet and not really sure where and how to post reply to posts yet so please forgive my ignorance.
Regards Brian (nakeddiy)

I would love to go on an organised naked walk with a group or an experienced traveller, but it would have to be, say under 10 miles with comfort stops and not too steep. I am in Pembrokeshire but willing to travel to a convenient meeting and starting off place.

Here is a nice short walk for anyone in Mid-Wales that I have done a few times now. Its following in the footsteps of the old railway track which went from Aberystwyth to Carmarthen. To get there head for the B4343 2 miles north of Tregaron and park in the free Nature Reserve car park.  Walk north and after about a mile the path veers to the left and the main B4343 is left behind. At this point one can see for miles and it is safe to disrobe but keep your binoculars handy as you observe the birds on your left. There are plenty of rest stops with seats but very few occupants.  Happy days
P.S. Keep a keen ear and lookout for the odd farmer with tractor as they may run in to you.

Presseli Hills look absolutely ideal!

I often stroll naked in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. I would say the trick is to avoid the valley bottoms and the ridges, taking the slopes midway up. You will hardly ever encounter anyone here. And I keep a pair of loose shorts and a t-shirt handy just to avoid any issues when another bod does appear.

I have never walked in Wales naked though I have often gone out in my shorts only.
