We're hoping to go to Formentera next September, but are slightly worried by the torrential rain they're experiencing at present. Anyone got first hand experience of what we should usually expect in last two weeks September?
Thanks

Some years ago we spent a week on the island in the middle of September. Weather was generally OK - I think we had one cool, cloudy day with possibly a shower. But I think you might be taking a bit of a gamble at the end of the month.

But, as almost always, it's difficult to forecast accurately when 'summer' will come to an end in the Balearics. It is generally a bit earlier than on the mainland.

My wife and I have just spent 2 fantastic weeks in Colonia Sant Jordi near Es Trenc on the South Coast of Mallorca. We arrived on the 16th Sept, stepping off the plane to 31C, since then it has been up to 35C, but over the last two days has mellowed to a very comfortable 23C to 25C. We leave on Tuesday having had a brilliant holiday in lovely weather, which included 2 days of rain. September to me, not a problem. Hope that helps.....

Enjoy life, theres no repeats.

I was there on the first week of October 2013, and it was cloudy but warm enough to be naked. From what I've seen/heard September is the best month to go, as the sea is still warm and the proportion of naturists is at its highest. I know it's a long way off, but let us know how you find it.

At risk of going off topic, some years ago we stayed a couple of times in Colonia Sant Jordi, at the Hotel Sur Mallorca. Interested to know where you are staying?

Top floor rooms have stunning views, and was able to skinny-dip in the sea before breakfast directly from the hotel steps into the water. Probably not practical later in the day because too many folk about - but lots of German guests, so they probably wouldn't worry.

And yes, Colonia Sant Jordi is a pleasant town and makes a very handy base for getting to Es Trenc - pleasant easy stroll along the shore.

Apologies for thread drift...
