I can recommend the beach at Sitges, south of Barcelona - really good.
Didn't I read somewhere recently that Barcelona had banned naturism?

No. it is in the city centre that it has been banned. There are still a couple of designated naturist beaches

One of the best beach in (Tarragona) catalonia is "cala Waikiki". It is localized in a wild environment. The acces is after walking about 20 minutes.
I recommend!
My favourite Catalan beach is El Torn at L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, but reaching Playa Trubacador on the Ebro Delta offers an interesting drive along a causeway of sand between the Mediterranean and a salt lagoon.

Great to see so many beaches in the tarragona/Delta Ebre area as I have just completed on a house in the campo outside El Perello!! Sadly I am not moving in until March/April.

Posted to NC by my friend, Leriel this has webpage on Catalan beaches has now become a favourite on my computer, but whether I will ever get to visit them all I don't know. I have been recommended Playa Savinosa near Tarragona but another friend from NC so on my list for next year.

Yes, Playa Savinosa is well worth a visit. The flat sandy beach shelves gently into the sea and I think the water is generally fairly calm.
It's a year or two since we were there, and at the time there was a sign in the middle indicating which was the Playa Nudista side, and which was the Playa Textil. Easy nearby parking also, as I recall.

I was in conversation the other day with somebody else who had visited quite recently, and they were impressed.

Thanks Mike. I must make a visit as I gather that there is parking for the disabled there which would suit my wife.
