Hi I'm new here. my husband and I have booked a campsite in the languedoc at marsellian plage. we hope to do some naturist sunbathing for the first time at the beach. we have since found out that our local beach to our campsite naturally joins the Nudist beach at cap d'agde. We have a few concerns about Cap d'agde due to us having a young daughter (age 5) my research suggests one end is worse than the other. can anyone tell me which end it is it is closer to the town of agde or the furthest away.
thanks for any advice offered.
If you are walking down from Marseillan Plage you will come first of all to the "adult" beach of Cap d'Agde . A little further down the coast is La Grande Cosse the naturist campsite, this is so much better , but you do have a good , but pleasant , walk to the beach .

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .
hope you enjoy, for your first time you might have been more comfortable at Serignan, whether you were on the nature section or the textile section at least you have access to the family friendly beach which has a section reserved for naturists, we have had a couple of fantastic holidays here and hope to return...
cheers
Hello there, I live not far away from Marseillan and Cap d'Agde (was there yesterday, in fact, when one or two brave (or mad, take your pick) souls were in the sea). Cap d'Agde/Marseillan Plage can be whatever you want it to be! There will be no problems with young children if you walk from Marseillan Plage towards Cap d'Agde and set up camp shortly after the Cap d'Agde nudist beach panel (it used to be much freer and easier and you could happily sunbathe naked on Marseillan Plage itself, but officials are more likely to tell you to move now). Go much further than this and the beach has a large gay contingent and then the infamous 'Bay of Pigs' where you quite possibly won't believe your eyes! After this (and the security post situated on the dunes) things calm down and the beach is very family friendly once more. An alternative, if you do not want to risk seeing things you would rather not see, is to drive to the naturist quarter and get a day pass. The beach in front of the main restaurants and shops is perfectly okay with kids. Personally I would just stick close to the Marseillan Plage end and stay away from the dunes! Hope this helps and you have a good time.
