Has anyone visited this part of the Portuguese Atlantic coast ?
We've booked a week near here in mid July , it looks lovely on websites, miles of white sand beaches reminiscent of France's Vendee. There's an unofficial naturist beach at Comporta.
I'm wondering how busy it gets and if the weather is reliable - I know the Atlantic systems can affect the weather further north. Tourist promotional videos are always made when there's not a soul in sight...
Either way, looking forward to visiting a new country , should be quite a contrast from Croatia last year. 🙂
Hi there:
Naturism in Portugal is more frequent in the south (Algarve).
The region of Troia and Comporta is very beautiful with delicious seafood.
I have stayed for some time there and spent some time looking for this "naturist" area.
Don´t expect much people, is just a part of beach where you can hardly see people, so get undress and enjoy.
I have found a dozen solitary or naturist couples in my little adventure there.
You will be close to Lisbon. On the south margin of the river, there a lot of naturist beaches in the Vicentina coast. (40 min from there).
Close to it there´s an excellent naturist camping site called "Monte Naturista O Barao". Don´t forget to stay some time there.
Hope you enjoy
