We visited this beach and plonked ourselves down in the middle, far from anyone, very quiet.

A friendly chap came along and told us we were 'marginal' for being where we were and suggested we moved to the eastern end of the beach.  Apparently this end, near the carpark, is private land to the waterline, and naturists have permission to use it.  A tall post marks its limit, after which the beach is public property.

We moved to this area, where there appeared to be only single males in the dunes.  Not a good omen.  Soon there came along two burly policemen, who didn't approach us but nevertheless made us want to pack up and go.

As newbies we don't have the confidence to engage in conversations about 'our rights'.  Nor do we want to offend anyone, regardless of our rights.  So we won't be going to unofficial beaches again.  But Climping beach is a fine beach, for anyone confident enough to use it.

Give Climping another chance, just avoid the very western end of the dunes. If you aim for the large wooden post at the top of the dunes you are in the area used by genuine nudists.
