Well done, you seem to have enjoyed the experience and it must be nice to get an appreciative audience.

It was Smash. I expected the artists to be distant and just treat me as a bit of furniture but after the first pose ended they erupted in applause - which was actually a little embarrassing but but very encouraging. It looks like what I might be doing now is joining the group as an artist but being able to stand in if they are let down by a model or can't get one.

We've both wondered what this kind of modelling must be like.  I guess most models wouldn't be naked alsewhere and we assumed, therefore, that for a naturist it would be undaunting.  We hadn't really appreciated the difficulty involved in keeping still which seems to be a much greater issue than the nudity.

Thanks for an enlightening report.

An old friend of mine said she had done some modelling, I jokingly said nude? and she said yes, at a local art club. I was quite surprised to be honest, but she was walking by and saw a sign that they were looking for models, walked in and signed up. She did say it was difficult to sit still for a long time, and it was often cold, but she enjoyed it and did it for a couple of months.

That's a helluva long time to sit still!

My mother was a nude model for art classes for years on a row. It is indeed not an easy job at all, as standing or sitting still is very tiresome. The thing of course is to (try to) be as relaxed as possible. Paying attention abdominal breathing can help a lot.

I started by relaxing into the pose and controlling my breathing. And then you need to 'zone out' by focusing on something like sounds you can hear inside or outside or in my case - I play songs in my head and concentrate on trying to hear every detail in the song as I know it. I know - nutcase. It worked though and even though it got uncomfortable being zoned out meant the discomfort was not at the front of my mind so I was able to dismiss it.

Being naturist certainly helps but it's still a little strange to begin with when you're the only nude person and everyone else is studying your shape.
