I actually got my boots on and my kit off today. I drove up to Ashbourne and turned left towards Leek and eventually turned off toward Onecote. I drove out of the village, found a place to park the car and tramped across the fields.
Shortly after leaving civilisation I slipped and got a wet bum so it was trousers off just before I intended and a naked walk commenced. I did a little under seven miles and a fair bit of the walk without clothes. It was a tricky navigation exercise as many of the public paths were not marked and at one point the map did not show a new fishing pond. The air had a slight but invigorating chill. It was a wonderful day out.

Sounds wonderful, I'd love to do a naked walk like this, but don't have the skills / knowledge.
I Love it when a Tan Comes Together.
all you need is a map that shows the footpaths, either paper or on a tablet/phone , common sense and confidence.
Great stuff Davie, it's brilliant to know that on a sunny day there might be other secret nude souls in the Peak District, somewhere!
I'll have to note down any distances I do this year, but similarly it can be shorts on/off quite regularly depending on the path ahead, visibility, etc, unless I've dragged myself out of bed particularly early. I don't drive so the first challenge is usually to find somewhere to lock or hide a bike... 😀
I was brought up not too far from here and love to revisit the Peak District. If I'm right about where you were walking you were quite lucky to not bump into any clothed walkers, as it's a busy spot. If you get e chance there's a great walk from Hartington (cheese shop well worth stopping at!) through the white peak scenery to Pilsbury Castle... do it early enough (as na___ recommends) or away from the weekend crowd and you might even manage it naked 🙂
Everything is better nude 😉
I went up the the Peak District again today and started a walk a short distance from Ashbourne. I walked over Mere Hill, onto the Manifold trail which is heavily used by walkers and cyclists. After a short distance I struck off gaining height and I walked above the valley for quite some distance before dropping down, crossing the trail and working my way out of the valley before returning to my car.
It was a fabulous warm spring day and I covered well over half without clothes.
The only time I was nearly seen naked was when I was changing my shorts on return to the car when a farmer in his Landrover suddenly came up the hill of a rarely used road.
