i have a bit of difficulty walking a long way over rough ground, i ride up to the end of ladybower a lot on my trike, any one know of a place that you do not have to be half billy-goat to get to?  😉

If you can ride that sort of distance from Rotherham but you need flater ground I would head east rather than west. The Hatfield Moors area around Candy Farm naturist campsite is flat and suitable for nude walks. It's interesting countryside as well with deer, birds, hebredian sheep, fungi, butterflies etc.

There are walks up to a mile each way on Candy Farm it'self. They are nice and level.

Sorry for digging up an old thread as my first post, but I thought best to keep all the Peak District info together.

My first nude walk earlier this year was in the Peak District, along the moors above the A57.  I walked (clothed) all the way to the end of the left hand arm of Howden Reservoir, and headed into the woods.  Once I was in the woods, I took my clothes off, and continued walking.  I walked all the way across the moor to Alport Castles, and all the way along the edge (overlooking the cars on the Snake Pass far below), back down almost as far as the bridge over Ladybower without seeing another person.  It was an exhilarating experience, and has certainly inspired me to seek out other naked rambling opportunities in the Peak.

Cool. See my reply on the 'nude walking' thread (it might have been more appropriate here but I went there first)

As the heatwave approaches, I thought I would bump this topic to ask if anyone has any other suggestions or experiences of nude walking areas in the Peak District, particularly near to Chesterfield / Sheffield?

I've done lots of walks in the Peak District naked. These have been mainly in the Ashbourne area. We did a (sorry rude word follow) clothed walk out of Castleton last week around Mam tour which was very busy. On the other side of the ridge is Edale and the southern flanks of Kinder Scout. I guess a walk up Ringing Roger could be a good nude walk. There's also some good terrain starting at Lady Bower Reservoir.
