Hello.

Hubby and I are new to this and we are thinking of starting off with some CO beaches in SW France or Northern Spain this July.

I don't think we're quite ready for the full resort thing, but are the likes of Euronat only for guests at the campsite?  Are there any good public naturist beaches in the area?

What's best to break us in gently?!

Thanks.

Dragonlady

I think Euronat will take day visitors but you can also park by the side of the road just to the south of the site & walk onto the beach

I really should have been born on a tropical island

Dragonlady I can recommend, Corralejo the north end of Fuerteventura, the beach is all CO and is huge, so can break yourself in gentle to naturism and have a bit of privacy if needed.

We will be there next week.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

As shortsboi says, it's easy to access the naturist beach adjacent to Euronat from just outside the resort to the south.

However, don't rule out actually staying at Euronat. It's a massive site and although technically naturist, there have been previous discussions on the forum about how many folk treat it as clothes-optional. And because it is so big, it's not difficult to enjoy some relative privacy if that's what you think might be most comfortable. It would make a great 'first time' destination in my opinion.

There are other resorts further down the French coast from Euronat as well - CHM Montalivet, La Jenny and Arnaoutchot (Arna).

However, I'd suggest there might be slightly fewer obvious opportunities along the northern Spanish coast.

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, the Euronat / Montalivet area has a higher sunshine record than further south. Earlier this year a French member on Naturist Corner - Jacques - helpfully provided a link to average annual sunshine figures for the country:

Just to add, that although there are not so many opportunities on the northern Spanish coast, there are a good number of excellent naturist places on the Mediterranean coast. Obviously it should be hot in July - in fact currently 43 centigrade in places down south at the moment... phew!

Obviously I am biased as I live and work here, but I would choose Vera Playa in Spain every time...it's all so very easy and laidback, for me the perfect naturist resort!

Ask me about Vera Playa naturist apartments to rent or check out my website (5% discount to NC members): http://www.veraplayavacations.com.

Hi all,

We normally go to Egypt for our holidays, but this year we would like to have a naturist holiday so we are looking for information on places to go,stay etc

We are thing about feurterventura, gran canaria,Vera playa etc,it doesn't have to be a naturist hotel but that would be a bonus, but we would like to be close to the beaches and towns,we won't be hiring a car so would have to be within walking distance or use local transport.

We sometimes have people from the UK coming to stay in our Port Leucate naturist apartment by taking Ryanair to Perpignan airport and then a 20 minute taxi ride to the apartment in Oasis village. You can do your shopping in the nearby naturist shopping centre so don't need a car and there are several restaurants within walking distance.

Croatia is wonderful whether you are a naturist or not. Plenty of beaches as well as resorts to visit, and a car not necessary in most places.

I second that  😉
