our stance on photos in the Media Centre is if they would not be seen in BN or in H&E they should not be posted here

Not all naturists are naturists.

Not all naturists are naturists.

Quite. While we are quibbling about the precise shades of meaning implied by the word "naturist" as opposed to "nudist", others elsewhere on the web have no qualms about equating naturism and eroticism, or even pornography.

You only need to search for terms like "naturist pictures" to see the type of semi-pornographic photos passed off as naturist. No wonder people get the wrong idea.

There are even a few pictures on genuine naturist sites (including BN) that are a bit borderline to me - and some of the comments that are added to them are quite embarrassing.  I realise I am a bit of a purist but if we don't draw a line somewhere we will never make progress into acceptance as a non sexualised family pastime.

Curious to know which sites as none of the ones I use allow 'porn' type shots? I have seen some where a ladies legs may be parted wider than may be necessary for stability in a sitting position but nothing 'hard-core'. Perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough lol.....

BN has purged the gallery and now imposed strict measures on the photos it allows. I must admit, there have been some "contentious" images posted in the past but hopefully that is all in the past now.

I think you will need to do your research first, Doric. Even at traditional naturist beaches such as Studland, you will always get the pervs who want to look at naked people and there will always be the swingers or exhibitionists who use the place as an opportunity to get sexual.

I think, though, that if you stay away from the dunes and more closer to the shoreline, it should be ok but check the places out first. Imagine taking the Mrs to a naturist beach only to find loads of fornicating couples!

basically the truth of the matter is accept naturists habits like accept what you see. no wonder there are fewer women getting naked because they are afraid of been harassed
