Ok back on subject. Would this style of work appeal to naturists or not?
It appeals to me; sadly, unless you leave the lens cap on, I am nothing like as photogenic as your model.
Have fun,
I know I have photographed models but I no longer do, but with a little direction the subject can create a very different mood. Try this example. Same model different pose.
Ian.
Coaster .... superb photo and example of the genre.
Wow you two are good. I think I recognise a couple of your models John 🙂
Evening, I am a life model in my spare time, would happily model for photographs too

Wigan is a bit far but get in touch with your local photographic club.
Have tried a couple of them, alas no luck so far, but will keep plugging away

Although I am only a beginner at being a social naturist, I have done some art nudes or nude art in the past. Attached is a photo of me taken about 5 years ago. I was/am very pleased with the image.
edit : I had to resize the photo to fit the forum rules so the quality has suffered a bit....
For many years I photographed models in the genre of artistic nude or art nude (take your pick) I have to say that in recent months I have stopped for many reasons that are not worth mentioning. I seems to me that naturist would fall into two major groups. The first would be absolutely against having images created whilst naked and the second almost demanding the attention. I say this as I have been reading through the forums and there appears to be these two basic groups throughout the naturist community. There does not appear to be much in the middle ground of not bothered either way. I may be completely wrong of course.
Tory - Labour
City - United
Bitter - Lager
Fish & Chips - Pizza
We all have our favored opinion and we are mostly stubborn single minded people who would rather fight for a cause we hate that admit we were wrong. Human nature (or naturist humans)........

As an aside, I was also lucky enough to get published full page on the inside front cover in H&E. This was a few years ago, I wonder if anyone can find it....
If you can give us a clue as to the year we'll look back through the copies of H & E we still have.
I have no problem in principle with naked photographs, although there are clearly good photos and not so good ones. While the art nudes clearly have an attraction, they are also a terrible cliche. You can find 100s and 1000s of such shots on the net of young female models, but they usually say very little about the model other than that.
I would be much more interested in photos of a variety of people, young and old, male and female, which say something about the person, not the artist's obsession with the young, pretty, female nudes in cliched poses.
What makes the difference is personal connection, showing ordinary people in a way which reveals them as real people, doing th kind of things they love, or just being themselves. I expect it takes much more skill to get good shots, largely because it is not just a case of pitching a preety woman in a series of satndard poses against a suitable background.
I'm not saying there is not a place for the art nude, but I would be more interested in photos wih story or connection, rather than putting beauty on a pedestal, playing to the stereotypes.
Tread lightly upon the earth

It was about 2010 or 2011 if memory serves me right......
I see that this thread was startedin July.
Firstly let me say that I think the photos are brilliant, as are the other photos posted on this thread, beautiful models, well composed. And clearly what I would call art nude.
I think there is a place for this type of shot in naturism depending on the location and pose.
But the title of the thread "Art nudes" doesn't match the Question, so addressing the original question. Well I think Coaster answered it himself. Yes I think some naturists like or don't mind being photographed, while others don't want to be photographed.
However I don't think it is that black and white.
People who don't want to be seen in naturist photos may not want to be seen through fear of the photos getting into the wrong hands, others may just feel it is a private activity and of no concern to others. And those who like to be photographed will have their own motives. For my part I joined the media centre in the hope that I could share naturist theamed photos particularly taken in locations that I have visetd or may like to visit at some time. Unfortunately while some contributors will label their photos and add some info, others just post endless snaps with nothing to put it into context.
"Try to live a good life. Don't be afraid to be what you are'. some bloke in the pub.

Good point Dev, the team have been discussing that very issue and we will be adding a new rule to make 'Subject' and 'Description' a requirement.
This will be part of the rules when we change to the new gallery software, but may be added before then.
Martinm - isn't the point of true art nude that the photos are meant to be viewed purely as pieces of art?? I don't personally think my shot (earlier in the thread) is a cliche and I certainly wasn't young at the time. 🙂
