Thought I would start a separate thread for this as Winchester is not really New Forest.

I have outlined a route across Farley Mount (just south of Winchester). It is about 3.5 miles long and takes in mainly wooded area but some lovely scenery as well. Will be doing another scout once the kids are back at school (as quite a few textiles last time I walked it) so watch this thread if you're interested in coming along.

Depends when it is, but you can nearly see my house from there!

Boundaries are there to be stretched!

Will probably be a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday - less chance of being "textualised" 🙂

I cycle past Farley Mount two to three time a week and there are too many people there.

Yes, I agree. Did a trek out last week hoping that with the kids back at school, it might be more accommodating. Whilst I was able to do 90% of the walk nude, I was surprised by a cyclist giving a "way hay" and there were quite a few people around.

So not such a good place. Will now look at another route in the New Forest as well as planning to do Mogshade Hill again either next week or the week after - depending on weather.

BTW, welcome to NC Richard.

Also Richard I see you are in Romsey. My office is in Romsey so if you ever fancy a coffee and chat, give me a bell.
