I recently went to Cyprus and after checking out the Captain Barefoot website I noticed that the Cape Greco area was used for skinny dipping etc. I walked from Fig Tree Bay and found somewhere quiet just North of the cape so entered the water there. Whilst swimming I brushed against a rock and scratched my hand, leg and foot. Every scratch drew blood! All the years of swimming around rocky places I have never come across anything like this.
I was wondering if anyone else had come across this phenomenon?

Yes, I have come across one or two places where you have to be very careful not to brush up against the rock, but can't remember where they were.
Tread lightly upon the earth
Many years ago on our only trip to what was then Yugoslavia, the rocks there were very sharp.in fact we took an inflatable dingy so we could all mess about in the sea but it only lasted about ten minutes with the sharp rocks.

I really got cut up. At first I thought that someone had thrown razor wire into the sea.
