Our first public time going naked was in Thetford Forest last summer. Was great being in the woods walking around and sunbathing

Be aware of ticks and symptoms of Lyme disease if you walk in forest areas. Thetford and New Forest hotspots for it.
My son came down with it after a visit to the New Forest. Not pleasant (mentally) and takes ages to overcome, assuming you find a doctor that can recognise it and treat you.

Whereabouts did you go?
I have walked a couple of times near to Thetford but never tried Thetford forest itself. Too many places where others are around.
It is nice walking through woodland but you do have to watch out for the bites!

Hiya,

If you come out of the back of Brandon then turn down Harling Drove there is lots of places to park and walk. Just be aware of doggers and travellers although I think they have been moved on.

I remember getting a tick on my leg in Thetford Forest years ago, my girlfriend was working as a Vet's assistant and he got rid of it for me.

When in Scotland several years ago I had a tic crawl up my shorts and attach itself somewhere embarrassing.  The friends who were with us thought it hilarious but I can't say I was particularly amused!  Dabbing it with Dettol got it off.  That's what the locals recommended.

I've not had tic problems but I have been attacked by a swarm of horse flies and on one occasion I had a good crop of leeches on my body after getting naked into the River Wey to remove a large crop of plastic bags from the boat propeller.

I've walked naked in Thetford forest many times. The spot I used was from the picnic area off the Downham to Swaffham road. My usual time was early evening about 6'ish on my way from work to North Elmham.
Saw a few dog walkers but kept a pair of shorts handy and most of the time just held them in front of me. Never received a bad reaction from anybody I met. 🙂

Hi - yup I go naked walking in thetford forest, normally go down Harling drove ! Often just go round with the dog quickly at about 6.30 in the morning or around 6 in the evening - would be great to join up with some other fellow ramblers
