The engineering work that was taking place at the monobuoy has now been completed, although it didn't stop the sunbathing. North Cotes has been great this year, reasonably quiet with few dog walkers. I've seen a few individual naturists all of which have been solitary males on each occasion I have visited. Hoping to go again tomorrow or Thursday depending on the weather.

Yes, I really like Horseshoe Point for its relatively remote location. I try to get there as often as I can but because of work commitments I usually only get Saturday free. I am based in Grimsby/Cleethorpes so Horseshoe Point is only a few miles drive down the coast to North Cotes which suits me just fine but I also like Theddlethorpe beach at the Churchill Lane end which is around 45 minutes away by car. Either way, it is a fabulous way to spend a summers day, just me and the Skylarks.

I have been to Theddlethorpe a couple of times when I have been nearby. Photos on my Flickr account.
Hardly seen a soul.

Hi - from a new member.

I have been to Theddlethorpe a few times - generally midweek - this summer.

It is a lovely spot, quite remote, with only the occasional dog walker.

I tend to park at the small car park at the end of Churchill Lane, walk onto the beach turn left and walk about 500 yards. - It is very quiet down there and I have found it okay to walk naked along the beach northwards from there.

It is generally very quiet midweek - often I have been the only one there but sometimes I have seen up to two more naturists.

It is definitely worth a visit.

Yes, really looking forward to visiting Theddlethorpe again this summer (2016) as it is just such a massive expanse of sea, sand and sky. I usually park in the Churchill Lane car park and then walk through to the beach down the little track from the car park. When you get to the beach it is usually OK to strip off and walk the rest of the way naked but sometimes there are dog walkers around so care has to be shown. I have met some really nice people there over the past few years but these days it is only a shadow of what it was back in the 70's and 80's.

Have to agree with Nikon, Theddlethorpe isn't as good as it was. The local council did a lot of work on the dunes for coastal erosion and that changed the place a lot. I tend to park in the car park at the end of Sea Lane, south end of Theddlethorpe, then walk through to the beach and head south for about half a mile to find fellow naturists. It seems to be well used in that area on a good day be it midweek or weekend, never not had someone to chat to and pass the time of day with in that area.

I remember going back to the nineties how a woman who used to ride her horses on the beach used to phone the Police every single time she saw someone naked. She even used to hand out leaflets in the car park. After a year or so of this, the Police warned her about wasting their time and now they have to have a permit to ride on the beach. I guess she should have been a whole lot more tolerant. Sadly, this woman put a lot of people off using the beach to be nude. On a good note though, there are still quite a few people who strip off there but I remember 1988 when it used to be packed with naked bodies. It was such a fabulous place back then.
