I am hoping to visit this beach for a few hours tomorrow (Wednesday). I have never been before and wondered if anyone can help me with best place to park my van and then where is suitable to strip off on the beach, provided the weather is ok of course 😊.
Thanks
Ian

There's only one place to park (two to be precise), from the Fraisthorpe beach sign turn off from the A165. The farm runs the car parking area for which there is a charge but because the owner decided to put up an obnoxious anti naturist sign some years ago, because the council one was not enough, I make a point of not paying. There is a small dead end 'lane' to the right of the main entrance of the car park area where you can park for nothing, but it's a small turning area, so it depends on the size of your van. You may have to stump up. A car's fine for lane parking.

Go to the right. 10 minutes. You'll see a WW2 wotsit in the sea. Get past that for another 2/5 minutes and pick a spot near the cliffs, but not right underneath as the sun will disappear earlier. You'll need a windbreak, ideally against the sea for camouflage, so nobody has a reason for umbrage. Mid week may be quiet and you may feel it's ok to have a walk around, as I happily did for a large part of Saturday amazingly, but don't walk to the sea if there are dog walkers down there. Try and restrain yourself until it's quiet, it's unfair, but it's how it is. We had a run in two years ago with a PCSO because somebody 'allegedly' upset somebody, it hasn't happened since but it isn't worth it. If you do take a windbreak, stay aware of who's coming up, especially from the left. We have just had a Fri and Sat which was absolutely fine, nay great, but the beach does need to be treated with caution still. It's a political football, and there's no saying when the local force will decide to make an entirely illegal point, though on the occasions we have been down there since that incident, there hasn't been anything.

If you stay sensible, keep an beady eye out now and then, (and boxers handy) you should be fine, but don't expect 100% relaxation. You may find a few others down there, but more likely on a weekend.

Thank you for all that information, I have just woke up to a miserable wet looking day so I don't think I will be making the 2 hour drive today.
It is a complete shame that we feel unable to strip off and 100% relax in places that are not populated very much.

I have been on Fraisthorpe beach a number of times when in the area but haven't gone naturist as I think it is far too exposed and definitely needs a wind break - instead I would suggest North Cotes of Theddlethorpe.
