While I have slept naked for a long time(I can't stand the feeling of pyjamas twisting themselves around me while I sleep), my previous steps in nudity haven't extended much further than remaining naked while ironing my clothes for the day or making a start on breakfast while waiting for the shower to become free.

Today I got up knowing that I would have the house to myself for most of the morning. I made a promise to myself to give it a go and spend as much of the time I had in the nude.

Once I was alone, I did a quick lap of the house and lowered the curtains just enough to make sure the neighbourhood wouldn't be getting any unintended entertainment, and ditched my clothes. I didn't get up to anything too exciting with my morning - cleaned up the kitchen, put on the washing and spent some couch time reading a book. I was having such a relaxing morning, and it confirmed for me that naturism might be something I would like to dig a little further into, which ultimately led me to join up here.

The only disappointing thing about my nude morning was that once the washing machine finished I wasn't game to take it out to hang on the line. Luckily I was sensible enough to just leave it in the machine until the afternoon, instead of getting dressed to take it out and waste my naked time 😛

Heh, get outside. Just find a quite spot you can be nude without anyone around - it's a wonderful feeling. You do live in a much better climate for being naked than we in UK do after all. There must be some nude beaches within travelling distance of you & as you note in your intro, naturists are non-judgemental about body shape etc - you will probably find them very friendly as well

I really should have been born on a tropical island

Thanks for the advice shortsboi 🙂

I'm planning to work from home this Friday, so might try to venture outside at some point. Will have to have a snoop around beforehand though... not a very private backyard here, so will need to pick a decent spot 😛

Being naked outside, feeling the sun on your body is so much better than being naked indoors. You will love it.

Thought that being in Aus there would be plenty of space to be naked outside 🙂

What's the law like about it?

Haha, yeah I imagine there is plenty of space further out from the cities here where people can go without having to worry about offending anyone.

Will have to look into it a bit more if I decide to take things outside the comfort of my own property.

Haven't looked too closely at the laws, but gut feel from the fact that naturism seems to be less popular over here would be that the unfamiliar would be frowned upon. Definitely something I should probably do some research on.

Well the weather yesterday was a bit of a double edged sword...

After getting enough work done to warrant a break, I slipped into the back yard armed with a bucket load of sunscreen.

As I mentioned previously, my back yard is pretty open to the neighbours (4 of the surrounding 5 blocks would be able to tell that I was out there in the nude if I was standing), so I had to pick my spot carefully. I managed to find a spot to sunbathe where only one neighbour would be able to see me without trying to(I figure if they are that keen to peer into the yard that closely they can deal with what they see. While I would be a bit embarrassed to be sprung, at least I know that I did what I could to avoid making anyone uncomfortable). The remaining neighbour is an older lady who very rarely ventures out the back side of her property, so I figured I was pretty safe.

While the temperature made it very unlikely that the neighbours were going to venture two far away from the airconditioners, it also meant I couldn't stay out there for very long. The breeze that was around felt fantastic on my skin, it was just too hot to be comfortable without a handy ocean to jump into to take the edge off.

So the lessons learnt:

* Nude in the breeze is an awesome feeling
* My backyard should be ok for spring and autumn weather
* For the hot summer days, forget the backyard and go find a beach (once I get the guts to give it a go)

Well done, could you get a sun umbrella? That would protect you from the rays.

Yeah that could work... although I kind of feel like that could end up attracting a nosy neighbour to peer over the fence to see why I've stuck an umbrella in the middle of the yard 😛

Will have to look into it in the new year... not going anywhere near the shops the weekend before Christmas if I can help it.

Not planning to leave the house tomorrow at all for that matter, going to be stinking hot... forecast for 41 C, and they are so worried about fire danger they have shut down half the states national parks for the weekend.

A pergola with grapes on or leafy plant in the summer to dapple shade you. I remember being to hot one day on my patio this year. or was it last year?

Whenever possible I like to be nude in my home...but I'm more courteous and don't do it unless it's either my wife or myself or if our friends know about our lifestyle. Whenever my daughters' friends are over, I never am nude...(don't want social services or the cops coming over for being nude in front of minors).  In our old house we had a hot tub where it was understood that it was always clothing optional but here in our newer house, we have a wide open back yard, so we can't practice nude recreation.

We both really fancy a Christmas in the heat but I think 41 C might be too much for us! Hopefully, the dangers have now passed and you can enjoy your New Year...
