My wife and I have had a great couple of hours on this beach today. We got there early not a soul in sight, and we had a nice naked wander along the beach and a short dip as it was freezing.  Would recommend trying this to anyone who can get to the beach. I will admit it will be my last visit till the weather warms up again.

I will be working in Newcastle for some periods of time next year so don't want to miss the opportunity of spending some time on the beaches in that area.
Could I ask members whether they would recommend Druridge Bay for naturist sunbathing and/or naturist beach walks.
I understand that there is also Ross Sands in the area.
Any comments most appreciated as well as clear directions to suitable areas.
Thanks in advance

I have now been to both Druridge Bay and Ross Sands.  I have to say that my favorite was Ross Sands - its a bit of a hike to get there but the beach was beautiful and it was really quiet there (probably because of the long walk required!!).
Druridge Bay is also a lovely beach but I found it a lot busier on the beach area (visitor centre and carparks nearby) and when I was there their seemed to be a few single men loitering around the sand dunes which made me a tad nervous and so I didnt find it particularly relaxing there.  I am very new to naturism myself and the last thing I want is to be approached by some guy in the dunes!! I would run a mile!!

I will definitly return to Ross Sands though once the weather improves a bit!!

One step at a time but always moving forwards ...
