They say you never forget your first time and maybe it's just old age catching up on me because I had to give the old grey cell a bit of work out for this one although not really sure how I could have forgotten 🙂
Young man, early twenties, single working out in Sweden for a few weeks, was during the summer, got to the first weekend and a group of the people I was working with said they were going swimming and would I like to come with them so yeah I thought, that would be nice, didn't have a swimming costume but did have a pair of underpants that I thought would be ok. So off we go, get to the swimming pool and there they all are naked as the day they were born, bit of a shock to the system I have to admit but I didn't want to see like the 'stuck up Brit' so off came everything and in I went, loved it and I'm so glad that I found the courage to join in.

They are a bit more open in there actions regarding nudity, when you consider if you are in a sauna in Sweden it is considered unhygienic to wear clothes and that all hotels have saunas, and it doesn't matter who you are, they are all accepting as I found out when I worked there many moons ago.
They did some of them find it surprising that we as Brits had just stepped into it as you did. As I was told by one lady the free sex hippy impression of Sweden only lasted for 8 months and they are still remembered for it. She laughed, when I mentioned her comments about being Reserved British People. She said touché.

In Germany for my first time, nearly 30 years ago. On a business trip touring the country visiting customers. My German colleague introduced me to the delights of the German sauna, etc. in the spa connected to the hotel in Wuppertal we were staying in. I was hooked!
Strange isn't it that if we do it once then from then onwards we are 'hooked', maybe a good way to increase the percentage of people that are naturist is to make it law that everyone must try it once ;D
