Are any walks being planned in the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire area. Like many other new members I would love to do a walk but feel I would be more comfortable with some more experienced members to hold my hand at first.
I do a few alone in Lincolnshire mainly in woods - but only when it warms up a bit and during the week in school term time to reduce the chance of bumping into people. But since you state Yorkshire / Lincolnshire I guess your north of the Humber so I suggest going into a shop that sells maps (Waterstones etc much better than the internet maps or order on line) and get an ordinance survey explorer or pathfinder map of the area you're interested in. These maps show all public paths many very hard to fond without a map - then try it out clothed (or with baggy shorts Tshirt to quickly slip on).
Lone men walking naked I do find are normally regarded as perverts, even a few in a group, but add a few women - then its a naturalist outing - no problems. So to be safe - have mixed company.
Thanks for the advice, actually I am at Goole so north or south of the Humber is easy making North Lincolnshire OK. As for getting a mixed group together yes that's fine, any willing participants?
