We have just booked a holiday on the island of Lopud, Croatia, and would like to know if anyone has any experience of Sunj Beach, or the island in general. Thanks in anticipation.

No, only been to Dubrovnick on the Babin Kuk peninsular,  but would like to now where exactly you have booked as it is on our radar this year for a holiday, are you stopping in a C/O location or all Nudist, as my wife is non naturist....... at the moment 🙂 Many Thanks Terry

We went there for our Silver wedding but that was 26 years ago! Try Google for up to date info.

We went to Rab and Losinj in 2015 and they were superb and we found FKK sites in both places.

Sunj...one of the few sandy beaches, which does mean the water isn't as crystal as off other places in Croatia, still very nice though. Can be a little frustrating swimming as the water is up to your knees many yards out. Perfect for kids though. As I remember, it's naturists to the left, textile to the right, separated by a rope barrier. Restaurant at the back. You will probably have to put something on. A lot of visiting yachts at weekends.

Only visited for the day, but Lopud village is very pretty.

I stayed in Lopud about 5 years ago before they reopened the Lafodia...it was May and fairly quiet...it's a gorgeous setting, about a 20-30 min walk through to the other side of the island for Sunj beach. Brigitte is correct...left is naturist and right is textile... I should imagine it will be extremely busy now the hotel has re-opened so my recommendation would be to get to the beach as early as you can to bag your spot as it is only a very small beach. Beautiful though. You can take the ferry to the other Elafiti islands, they run a few times a day and are very cheap... you could also go to Lokrum island which has a naturist section from the Old Town port at Dubrovnik... when are you going Pantherman? Happy to answer any other questions you have about that area.

Ask me about Vera Playa naturist apartments to rent or check out my website (5% discount to NC members): http://www.veraplayavacations.com.
