My wife was put off by those perverts it's such a shame it's such a beautiful beach. Perhaps it should be patrolled by wardens or the police to stamp this behaviour out. Be honest I have found unofficial beaches a lot more relaxing.
We stopped going to Morfa for this exact reason, we visited and saw a couple go on top of the dunes, but still in full sight, quickly surrounded by men. Ten minutes or so later the couple came down and headed to the sea to clean off. Disgusting as the beach was full. I couldn't risk my kids seeing this type of behaviour so we have never returned.

In another topic this was discussed at some length especially what to do about it. My personal favourite is to photograph them and hand the pictures over to the police. If this became the normal way of things they would stop their behaviour, at least insuch a public way. Should not be too hard to accomplish since most mobile phones have a camera.

Once the beach at Dyffryn had become official I though they had introduced patrols to turf people out of the dunes. I guess, like many things, they have succumbed to cost cutting.

As a point of information, "Warders" or "Wardens" have not been employed in English or Welsh prisons since the 1960s. Since that time they have been known as Officers.

Sorry you've had a bad experience there. I can assure you that the busier the beach is the less meercats there seems to be, they don't like being massively outnumbered!
