We had discussed taking up naturism several times, but that had been as far as it had got. Eventually we decided we should at least find out if it was for us or not so we contacted the two clubs in our area. Within days we had received a brochure from Telford Naturist Club giving full details and after much 'shall we shan't we' we decided to give it a try. We booked our appointment to visit and on the day rather nervously made our way to the club following the clear instructions we had been given not only in the brochure but over the 'phone as well.
The gate was opened for us and we were directed to the office where a member of the committee met us. He made us feel welcome and went through everything. He said that he appreciated that it was sometimes difficult for people to be undressed in public, especially the ladies and that there would be no pressure on us and to take things at our own pace. My wife found this very reassuring. He then took us on a short tour pointing out the social club and bar, the games room attached, the shower block and sauna. He also explained that the outdoor swimming pool was to become an indoor one (now completed).
After he left us we decided to explore for ourselves and went on one of the various nature trails before making our way back to the clubhouse where we had a drink and a bap. Having completed our lunch we decided to try and find a quiet spot and eventually plucked up the courage to strip off.
From then on, we've never looked back.
