Anyone been to Cooden? Recommend it, where exactly is the naturist beach please?

It's been posted here as Normans' Bay. The beach sits in the middle of the two places.

From the Cooden Beach Hotel & Station head West about 3/4 of a mile. Don't cross the railway! If you see cars up against the wooden walls then generally there are naturists on the beach. I park here. However, you may prefer the little parking area about 250m before the railway crossing.

Once on the beach head West. The naturist area is massive and not marked but once you pass the water pump (has a small handrail around it near the fence at back of beach) you are there but most people set-up further down where the groyns are more visible.

I'd like to give this one a go, but every time I turn up there's no-one else there. I'm certainly not getting my kit off on my own in front of the wind surfers 😉

I've always reckoned that windsurfers have enough going on and enough to concentrate on, than to be taking much notice of someone in the buff taking a bit of sunshine.  It can be the same at Bradwell beach, where they hurtle across the estuary and all of a sudden, (well almost ) there are heaps of them.
This can happen while taking a walk, far from your clothes. They just don't see, blinkered with their sport.  Just carry on and do it.

There will be plenty there in this weather and don't worry about windsurfers or passing walkers, just enjoy the sunshine when we have some!!

If the weather is good there will be naked people getting their sun on. If it's not a great day it will be dead. Because it's exposed I also don't go down there if it's very windy and go to Birling Gap instead. BG is the best place in the area but suffers from no phone signal, not ideal if on call.

Hi all, just to throw my bit in, I love Birling Gap too, I would thoroughly recommend it to Andy, very clean, relatively easy access and everyone I have met there has been lovely, even clothed people who have ventured along into the nudist domain with none of the issues that Brighton has.
The lack of phone signal is exactly one of the reasons I love it 🙂

Have you looked at the weather forecast?

Was passing by so had a quick walk, it wasn't a great day but finally there were people using the beach - can't wait for the next sunny day!

Had a pleasant few hours at this beach this afternoon. Was relatively busy seeing as how the air show is on and the wind was up.
Perfect tanning weather today. Sunny with a light to moderate breeze to keep me cool.
