I have noticed that on flickr that their seems to be two ways of joining a flickr group.
The first, when you click on " Join group" one is automatically joined that group. The other is when one clicks "join group" a panel comes up explaining the group rules etc.
My question is. How do you progress beyond this. I can't seem to work out if you accept the groups rules, and want to join what to do next.
This is when using a tablet to go onto flickr, I don't know if it is different on a PC.

Clicking that you agree the rules should join you to the group.
There is also a third category where you have to apply to a moderator if you wish to join. The moderator will probably look at your profile and photostream before deciding whether you are eligible.

That's the thing John, I can't see anywhere in that panel where I can click to say that I agree to the rules.
I was invited to add one of my photos to a group the other day, but when I tried to join the group I couldn't work out how. As I said I haven't tried on my PC, that may be different as I use the flickr app on my tablet.

its a photo storage website, you get masses of space for free, and you can allow anyone to see them, or no-one. depends on how you feel about your photos in the public.
we have loads stored on there, mostly set for family only to view, but you can add friends etc and allow them to see too

All you need is a Yahoo account (free also) and you get 50GB of free photo storage.

If you use Flicks be sure to set the safety level correctly for any naturist pictures - this applies regardless of whether or not you make the pictures publicly view-able.

My problem sorted, it was the flickr app. If I go onto the flickr site on my PC I can join any group, and the access that group through the app.

I see flickr has now changed its policies, and if you have a free membership, you will now have to go pro, and pay, or lose any photos you have that are over the limit.
The email I had says they will start deleting photos in your collection if they are over the free amount, if you are not pro in January 2019

The limit for free membership is 1000 images,  so think the average snapper will be ok.

I used to have a Flickr page which had an album for our naturist photos, but when some friends of ours had their Flickr page hacked and some of their naturist shots used to create bogus accounts on wife sharing sites I deleted the whole lot and closed my account. I would urge anyone to think long and hard before posting anything remotely connected to naturism on Flickr as Yahoo has been staggeringly lax regarding security of all of its projects.

Fortunately, Yahoo no longer own and operate Flickr!

Never had any problems with Flickr
If you have more than the 1000 limit you can download them before the January deadline, so you don’t lose any.
Or just go pro.
