yes Barbara has sold Rivendel and will close in December  2016 :'(

That explains why no one from Rivendell was communicating when BN members were trying to make bookings for the recent BN Solo weekend.

Anybody know if the event went ahead in the end? and what venue will BN use for the event next year?

St. Anne's Cottage offers a very pleasant campsite, I'm told, but unfortunately not a pool or a hot tub!

only managed to visit once and was made very welcome as a single. But it was some ones home and age gets the better of us all, so new things become priority any one know if it will stay as a wildlife  garden or has it been sold for housing??

I believe it went ahead, I think BN are trying to get an alternative venue in the South west. There is a solo's also in the North 🙂

Resurrecting this thread because a resurrection might be exactly whats happening...although very few details are available, but somethings afoot and Rivendell has new owners! Closed until the end of May. After that we wait and see.
