I first dipped my toe and the rest of me into naturism on Naxos in 2002.  🙂
Making up for lost time ever since!

We live most  of the year in Crete and have access to an unofficial nudist beach near Georgioupoli in north west Crete. The beauty of living in Crete is that before the tourist season starts or after it ends the beaches empty and the weather can be magnificent such that we can have access to the whole beach (it is 9kms long!) and it is possible to sunbathe, walk and swim nude practically anywhere. I have been sunbathing nude in December and February.

Yes - north-west Crete, between Chania and Rethymnon

I've just got back from Kos and can report that Tigaki beach is the busiest I've ever seen it, and that is with a few windy days. Perhaps the tight financial times mean that people cannot afford swimming costumes these days  ;D

We've been to a few Greek beaches. Banana beach on Skiathos isn't great, we found Paradise beach on Thassos is our fav, mostly because that was the place we first went

Having just returned from a holiday in Syros (first time in 5 years) I thought I would update my earlier post. Delfini is now somewhat busier with a slightly more up-market beach bar replacing the taverna, complete with sun loungers, etc.. As we were with textile friends we stayed at that end (north) of the beach but I took a stroll to the southern end to see if it was still being used by naturists. I am pleased to confirm that it is still clothes optional although most of the naturists seem to gather at the far end of the beach. I decided to lose the swim shorts and join them for half an hour or so before rejoining the friends. The more people continue to use it nude then I feel it will retain its status.

I've just returned from Kos and officially they is only one nudist beach. Its
3 km south of Kardamena or find the Portabella Royal Hotel (where we stayed) and its 200 mts north past the marina. My profile picture was taken on the beach there. Its small and narrow with a small kiosk but it was okay.
As for other places to go there are plenty of spots to strip off just not official.

Ok. Tried one between Vlychada and Eros beach with my girlfriend. Nice beach and beautiful dip in the sea too. Can't wait for my next sun holiday to try it again!

Hi Smoothie Cpl ,,,, Yes you are right that there are not many "official" nudist beaches,,,,

However there are a few & countless beaches where the locals turn a blind eye,,, the main thing on these is to be discrete and not upset them,,, (avoiding the weekend helps),,,

Try doing a search on google for Captain Barefoots guide to greece beaches,,,, lots of hints and tips in there for Greek beaches,,,

Our personal favourite is Little Banana beach on Skiathos,,,,,, fantastic beach and great island,,,, see my posts / pictures elsewhere for our thoughts on this one,,,, Or PM me if you want more info,,,,

Tort.    🙂

Little Banana is also my favourite my wife was well impressed when i return from the bar with a jug of wine for her  ;D

We went to Zakynthos (Zante) last September staying at Hotel Panorama. There is the nearby Gerkas beach about 20 mins walking away or a short car drive. The far end of the beach is fine for naturism and is sandy. You can also go to the extreme far end at the opposite end of the beach. Its stony there but there is limited shade in some bushes and some interesting geological formations. The width of the beach available at the sandy end is limited as part of the beach is cordoned off to protect the turtle nests. There are no facilities on the beach although a fruit seller walks up and down. There are restaurants behind the beach, with a good parking area.
