Our first time nude in public

It seems many of us for whatever reason end up naked on the beach or similar and then find out we’ve wasted to many years wearing clothes before finding the pleasure of naturism.

Firstly to be honest not sure if we should describe ourselves as naturists’ nudists or a couple who just get nude on holidays or in the garden. Whatever the definition we have most of our holidays at naturists resorts of some description, attend naturist spa’s and swims and sun nude in our garden.

Back to the point.

In 2002 we went to visit friends in Holland and stayed at a caravan site in Kijk Duin on the coast. The site had been booked by our friends and we had no idea what it was like – it was fine.

The beach was less than 5 minutes walk from the site, was pure sand and cold North Sea water!

Up until this holiday neither of us had been nude in public since pre puberty Kay did sun topless when able otherwise we both wore cosies.

One afternoon we decided to go for a walk on the beach it was sunny so it was swim trunks and T shirt for me and full costume and shorts for Kay. We got onto the beach and walked along the sea paddling in our cosies having both removed our shorts daring couple I hear you snigger.

After a few minutes we came across a sign warning of nudity ahead and sure enough beyond the sign we could see naked people and also others dressed (hate term textile!).

Being somewhat braver than Kay I didn’t need an invite to drop my trunks and there I was naked in public on a beach. The world never ended no one started (not sure if that was good or bad for a mans ego). Kay was more reluctant than I and said she may if we found somewhere quiet to sit.

We carried on walking and never thought about being nude it was just a natural feeling.

The cold sea beckoned us to cool of from the sun and in we went jumping waves and playing like kids. After a short while we came out and headed up the beach towards the dunes where it looked quiet.

I was virtually dry before we even sat down – great. Sadly Kay though her exposed skin was dry her cossie was wet. Water and sand are not a good mixture on worn clothing.

It soon became obvious that another dip in the sea was necessary to wash the sand off her cossie.

Off we walked back to the sea and into the cold water again. Kay began splashing water on her self to clean the sand of her cossie which was fine externally but sand as we know gets ‘everywhere’.

Take the bu**er off I suggested and to my surprise she did and there she stood as nature intended. Never one to miss a photo opportunity I snapped a few of her first time for posterity.

We played in the sea for what seemed ages and the feeling of water and sun on our bodies was a new sensation for us both and a great one.

Soon it was time to come out and a passing Dutch lady kindly took a souvenir photo of us both, friendly folk naturists.

So it was back to our kit on the beach this time both of us drying in the sun and a pleasant time sunning ourselves with the suns rays reaching parts of our bodies that had never seen daylight (ok slight exaggeration).

That was our first time naked in public what did we learn, no one actually notices or appears to they just accept you as you are, the feeling of the sun-breeze-water on a naked body is hard to describe it just feels great and natural why had we wasted so many years wearing clothes?

That was 2002 our next holiday was booked for a naturist trip to Le Cro Magnon in France. Each year bar 2004 we have taken naturist holidays and hope to continue for many years to come.
