I don't know about others but I found my introduction to nudism through nude saunas and spas.
The penny dropped when I released I didn't feel naked in the sauna so why would I feel different outdoors?
I realised that it was because we were all equal.
To this day I still don't like beaches as those walking through the beach area wearing clothes somehow may be feel like we're doing something wrong. Does anyone else have the same feelings?
I did have those feelings at first.
Now I feel that they are doing something wrong.

Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.
George Bernard Shaw, Maxims for Revolutionaries
Occasionally you see it working the other way. We were on a naturist beach and a young women came and plonked herself right in the middle of the beach and stayed dressed. Everyone ignored her and carried on as usual, walking passed her as they went into and out of the sea. After a short while she realised she was on a breach that wasn't for her and she sort of slunked off. It was quite amusing.
I guess I did once feel like that but am now of the opinion that at a naturist or clothes optional beach, that's what it there for and I feel quite comfortable.
Now free-range walking is different. With a group its fine but alone encounters can be potentially more problematic

visited vera beach a few weeks ago, i kept shorts on walking from the car park to the beach, first day i laid out my towel and made sure everything like car keys and phone etc was away, and then took shorts off and laid down... After a bit thought nothing of getting up and walking down to the sea and swimming, after wandered to the beach bar and sat and had a drink whilst still naked and after walked back to the car naked.. even after only a couple of hours it felt wierd to get dressed again..
Can't wait to go back and get naked at the car and then wander proudly to the beach au natural
Would love to try swimming in the sea though. Have swam in a pool nude and it was a lovely experience. imagine the wves make for a totally different experience.
It's awesome having large breakers crashing over you, can be cold up here in Scotland
